Business Partnerships

Business and corporate partnerships allow us to bring awareness to the plight of homeless animals on the Middle Peninsula to a variety of audiences, as well as engage employees and consumers in a cause that directly affects their community. Our partners have made a meaningful and lasting impact on the lives of Middle Peninsula residents by funding free spay/neuter initiatives, funding our Pet Pantry, and supporting an organization that strives to assist not just pets, but those that consider their pets a part of the family.

Corporations have issued grants, underwritten the cost of established and developing programs or initiatives, and have enabled us to conduct various fundraising initiatives. Over 65% of households nationally have companion animals, and another 10% care for the well-being of homeless pets. Forming a like-minded partnership with the Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society will show community residents that you care and help your brand resonate in a deeply meaningful way. Together, we can elevate your mission and ours.

Recognizing our Humane Business Partners

Every year, GMHS recognizes those local businesses that go above and beyond to support our mission.

Sponsoring events, making monetary and in-kind donations, providing veterinary care, tending the shelter’s garden beds, maintaining the shelter and Fixin’ to Save Spay & Neuter Clinic facilities, servicing our vehicle fleet, and hosting fundraisers are just a few of the many ways Humane Business Partners position GMHS and the pets entrusted to us for success.

As valued stakeholders, Humane Business Partners actively work to ensure GMHS has the resources necessary to provide the temporary shelter, compassionate care, outreach and education for all those we serve from the Middle Peninsula to the Northern Neck and beyond.

We encourage you to patronize our Humane Business Partners and join us in expressing gratitude for sharing their heart for homeless pets with our organization. Their choice to support GMHS and active advocacy on behalf of pets in need ensures GMHS remains a beacon of hope and safe harbor.
