Surgeries are performed by appointment only. Please click the Request an Appointment button to get started. Scheduling an online appointment does NOT guarantee the appointment date you selected. You will receive an email confirming your appointment date or giving you new date options. You will also receive a phone call to take your $25 non-refundable deposit that will be applied to the cost of your procedure. This deposit is required to book your appointment.
Clients will be contacted one week prior to their scheduled appointment to confirm the surgery. Confirmation of the appointment is required within 24 hours of the call to maintain the appointment. We recommend that all animals have an e-collar after surgery (the cone that prevents licking and chewing) in order to prevent injury or infection at the surgical site. Because male dogs are most prone to licking their incision, we require that all male dogs have e-collars after surgery. You may purchase one from us for $15, or you may bring one with you on the day of your appointment.

FAQ’S
1. What services are offered at the Fixin’ to Save Spay & Neuter Clinic?
We provide veterinarian-performed spay and neuter surgeries for healthy dogs and cats 4 months and over. Our surgery fee includes post-op pain medication. Additional services include legally required rabies vaccinations, canine and feline vaccinations, heartworm and leukemia testing, microchips, deworming, flea treatments, and nail trims – these are only available at the time of surgery. We recommend that animals over 7 years of age schedule an appointment with us for pre-op bloodwork several days before surgery. Animals who are sick – sneezing, diarrhea, vomiting, etc., are not safe candidates for surgery and should see their regular veterinarian to resolve those issues before scheduling surgery.
2. Does The Fixin’ to Save Spay & Neuter Clinic work with feral and community cats?
Yes, we have spayed, neutered and vaccinated thousands of feral and community cats. We offer a reduced cost Feral Package which includes spay or neuter surgery, rabies and FVRCP vaccinations, ear cleaning, and an ear tip, to encourage and assist caretakers with their care. For the safety of our staff and the cats, all feral cats must come to the clinic in traps or transfer cages. All cats receiving feral packages must come in traps/transfer cages and receive an ear tip. An ear tip is an internationally recognized symbol and helps to protect the cat by allowing observers to identify from a distance that this cat has been vaccinated and spayed/neutered. Click here for more information on how The Fixin’ to Save Spay & Neuter Clinic supports TNR (trap-neuter-return) programs.
3. Why are the Spay Neuter Clinic’s fees lower than other veterinary clinics?
The Fixin’ to Save Spay & Neuter Clinic is a non-profit clinic and we only provide spay neuter surgeries (and some wellness services the day of surgery.) We do not provide care for sick or injured animals, so we do not need to have on hand the many medications and diagnostic tools a full-service clinic needs. This non-profit and focused approach allows us to provide high-quality spay neuter surgeries for less. If we feel an animal has special needs that we cannot meet, we will refer that pet to a full-service clinic. Your pets’ safety is our first priority. Financial assistance may be available if needed – please ask us about this.
4. Can anyone use the Fixin’ to Save Spay & Neuter Clinic, and do I need to make an appointment?
Yes, our services are open to all. And yes, you do need an appointment for surgery. Just click the Request an Appointment button and it will take you through the process to make an appointment.
5. What do I need to do for my pet before and after surgery?
Please download the Pre-Operative Instructions and Post-Surgical Instructions for more information
